Quick Answer
No, the Brew Cork QuickSip is not recommended for the dishwasher. Hand washing is the best way to preserve its cork detailing and keep the cup in top condition.
Why Dishwasher Cleaning Can Be Risky
The Brew Cork QuickSip features cork-inspired detailing, which is a natural material that can absorb moisture, warp, or discolor in the high heat and harsh detergents of a dishwasher. The quick-sip lid may also degrade over time with repeated dishwasher cycles.
While the cup body itself is made from durable materials, the cork element is the primary reason to avoid the dishwasher. Preserving the look and feel of the cork means sticking to gentle hand washing.
If you're in a hurry, a quick rinse with warm water and a mild soap is usually enough for daily use. For deeper cleaning, a soft sponge and a bit of baking soda can help remove stains without damaging the cork.
Brew Cork QuickSip Care FAQ
- Can I put the Brew Cork QuickSip in the dishwasher?
- No. The cork detailing is not dishwasher-safe. Hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended to maintain the cup's appearance and longevity.
- How should I clean the Brew Cork QuickSip lid?
- The quick-sip lid can be hand washed with a soft sponge and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the plastic or damage the seal.
- Can I use bleach or harsh chemicals to clean my cup?
